Hundratals hav
(Swedish: "Hundreds of oceans")
2021
Textile, acrylic color
Originating from the idea of the same geographic place transformning into different places due to many factors: The ocean looking dramatically different depending on the time of the day, light, weather, season. But the memory of a geographic place as well tinted by the observers emotions, context, mood and experience.
This is an attempt of involving many different takes of the horizon in one landscape painting, a journal of horizons and an effort at painting the "true" portrait of the landscape, something which of course is impossible. The landscape is in a state of constant changing, on both a micro level as well as the observers own view never will be neutral.
