Exhibition with painting, video and textile works at Black Wall gallery
“I am interested in place as both a story of survival as well as the romantic idea of landscapes. When I turned to landscape painting I was curious how to express it in my own creative language. I was inspired by maps and thought a lot about everything that is not marked on a geographical map, all the personal memories you connect with a place, the emotional and spiritual. As I began to recall places in my memory, I noticed that in my mind they had broken away from their environment to become geographical formations colored by multiple perspectives and events. ”
